RULES OF THE COMPETITION „TREMOLO – SKOPJE“

Article 1

The International Classical Guitar Festival “Tremolo” is organized in cooperation with the institutions of the city of Skopje.

Article 2

The main goal of the festival is the one-year observation of the effects of the music schools (students, students and music pedagogues) on the instrument – guitar. Socializing and sharing experiences of students and pedagogues from our country and abroad.

Article 3

The festival and the competition are conducted by the Organizing Committee and the Artistic Director.

Article 4

The members of the organizing board and the art director are appointed by the director of the festival.

Article 5

The propositions of the competition are elucidated by the artistic director and the organizing committee.

Article 6

The right to participate in the festival and the competition are all candidates that meet the requirements defined in the propositions of the competition.

Article 7

Registration of candidates is done by e-mail, mail or fax.

Article 8

The obligations of the organizing committee are:

  • Promptly announce the propositions of the event
  • Collecting applications from candidates
  • Defining the attendance at the performance and scheduled rehearsal time at the competition venue prior to their performance
  • Printing programs and other material related to the festival and the competition
  • Appointment of the jury at the competition
Article 9

A jury member does not evaluate student of his class.

Article 10

The final grade is awarded to the competitor by calculating the average points decided by the jury members.

  • 90 -100 points – first prize
  • 80 – 89.99 points – second prize
  • 70 – 79.99 points – third prize
  • 0 – 69.99 points – compliment
Article 11

The decision on the number of points that the competitor has received is announced at the end of the competition day. With the announcement, the decision of the jury becomes final.

Article 12

Diploma for participation in the festival and the competition are signed by the members of the jury and verified by the stamp of the organizer of the festival.

Article 13

After the decision of the jury, the winners in each category receive cash and other valuable prizes.

Article 14

The organizer reserves the right to record and transmit the program. Competitors shall waive the right to material compensation in connection with eventual radio and TV recording or production of audio and video material and their distribution.

Article 15

Competition is public. The overall competitor’s program is performed by heart.

Article 16

Competitors who will be selected to perform at the final concert are obliged to fulfill that duty without any material compensation.

Article 17

The assessment of the competitors is based on the evaluation of the following elements:

  1. Technical skill (preparedness)
  2. Sound quality
  3. Drawing and respecting the stylistic features and musicality
  4. Performance accuracy
  5. The artistic impression of the performance (assessment of the personal approach of the performance)
Article 18

The decision of the jury is final and irrevocable unless a violation of the provisions of this Rule is found.
