David Štrbac is a Serbian / Austrian guitarist, and was born on May 4th, 1998 in Belgrade. He started his musical education in Belgrade with prof. Vladimir Radulovic in 2007 and continued it with prof. Boris Djujic in 2011.
He is currently studying at the renowned University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna in the class of the famous guitarist and pedagogue prof. Alvaro Pierri.
David has graduated from his Bachelor studies at this institution in 2020, starting his master studies immediately after.

David has been an active concert artist since a very young age and held his first solo recital in Belgrade, Serbia in 2010 when he was only 12 years old. Since then he has given solo recitals in Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and England and has received great reviews and audience reactions.

In 2018 he was awarded by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts for the most successful concert of the 2017/2018 concert season. He has won a number of international and Republican first prizes in competitions for both young and professional guitarists including:

  • “Sinaia Guitar Festival”, Sinaia, Romania (2015),
  • “Giovani Chitarristi”, Mottola, Italy (2013),
  • “Guitar Art Festival”, Belgrade, Serbia (2013)
  • “Vojvodina Classic Guitar Festival”, Novi Sad, Serbia (2012)
  • “Republic Competition of Serbia”, (I – 2012, 2014, 2016).

He also has a particular affinity for teaching as he has been teaching both beginners and advanced guitarists with extreme commitment since 2016. Since 2020 he has been teaching at the “Klangwelt” music school in Vienna.
David will release his debut CD featuring Spanish music in 2022.
